Belongs in every hobby room, workshop, store, car and battery box! When conventional extinguishers fail, this fire-protection granulate does the job. It is the perfect solution for safely storing lithium-polymer batteries and for extinguishing them in the event of fire. The expanded-glass granulate is applied gently onto the fire, encloses it and smothers it; at very high temperatures the glass melts and spreads over the surface of the burning metal, forming an airtight seal that crusts over on cooling and extinguishes the metal fire, effectively preventing re-ignition. Suitable for fire classes D and lithium-ion. Its extinguishing effect on metal fires was tested and confirmed by MPA Dresden on sodium and magnesium fires.
